I'd save some money and buy a couple of vests and a triangle from Amazon. The cheapest triangle they sell in a red case fits perfectly in the space in the boot lid. That's all you need as breathalysers and first aid kits are no longer mandatory in France.

Thought I’d post on here in case anyone else randomly happens to face the same issue. I lost my ACC entirely a year ago and have just got round to taking it into my local VW to diagnose and repair. Thought they were going to charge me loads to recalibrate it but it turns out a rodent had bitten through one of the wires that attached to the engine which had deactivated the ACC. They fixed it up with a bit of tape and it started working again. I had to pay the diagnosis fee (£270 so still quite steep) but they didn’t charge anything for the fix itself  - I thought it was going to be much more so was relieved. I’ve seen posts on here and other forums about ACC issues but never heard of rodent damage being the cause so thought I’d share on here just in case anyone else it may be of help to someone.

Finally, the latest maps P410 version from 16/06/2025 for Discovery Pro are online, so do download them.
This time, they are not late as before. Discover Media version is not updated/available yet (only November 2024).
The maps are only about 17.5GB, so you can use again 32Gb card.
Make sure you use the latest 7-zip file to unzip it to your SD card (which is 25.00).

Long shot but if anyone has a used VW breakdown down kit which as I can see was an option but standard in some markets let me know.

Shortly going to France for a roadtrip and need to sort out the required bits. Back up plan is to just buy a kit from Amazon.
