I am going to ringing around today to get quotes on a Golf GTi MK4 that has a few mods done to it but I am unsure as to what information is required about the mods.
Do I need to know the make and model number of the parts etc or can I just declare what mods they are without this information?
Any help would be appreciated!

Brand name and what it is usually suffices
i.e MIlltek exhaust system
Eibach lowering springs along with how low they drop the car
The more info you can give the better though

Thanks Rhyso , I will have to get more information on them then. I've only been told the basics

Yeah the more info you have means that should you end up in an accident the items in the car will be replaced like-for-like and not cheaper or OEM parts

What really annoys me is alloy wheels!
Both my cars have different alloys to standard which can be purchased far cheaper than the standard alloys but the insurance companies hike your premium because they are non standard.
Its about time this changed.
