I know what ya saying Shaun, I think Brad just needs to keep a better look out for pot holes 

A big problem in Leeds isn't it?... Although my experience on Sheffield roads is far worse. 

Mate, the roads are sh!tE!!!! I reckon alot of people think im pissed on my 6 mile journey to work because im forever weeving in and out of pot holes, Brad takes literally the same route so I feel for him as his sump is around 30mm (35mm now  ) lower than mine

will see how it goes with this sump, the guy says the welds are strong.. as i have said more than once this is a Mule sump.. i don't mind it taking a beating..just don't want it to crack open..

Pot holes are terrible round here, but me having things on my mind of late has maybe made me have a lapse in concentration of the humps and bumps in the road LOL!

I would raise the ride height

I love slammed cars but sometimes there needs to be line where performance needs to be in balance with looks

This morning i have been driving a mk4 1.8T with 280Bhp, the car was amazing with all the power but driving it on country roads really spoilt it for me, it was banging and catching on every defect on the road, on the motorway it was amazing.

Im not saying make it look like a scared cat but make the car more enjoyable to drive with the superb engine you have under the bonnet

kinda agree with the above tbh, a stronger sump is always a good ting but surely the soloution is to stop it hitting in the first place

Update on the sump.

Today I managed to give it a test. It said hello to the floor and the result is:

Sump: 1
Floor: Nil

Not a mark on the sump!!  Lucky ? I dunno but so far so good

Basically you're saying the way you drive is erratic and dangerous because your car is not fit for purpose and thus not safe.
