Quite interesting if you do a DVLA vehicle check.

This one comes up as the 1.8 engine, many others on here still say 2l.

Did it in my tea break. Not to be a sneaky b!tch just genuinely interested to see if the DVLA change it that's all.

Oh so not to see which ones had not been declared.

You should be OK so long as you don't drive it on the road or lie to your insurer by telling them its a 5L V8 when it's not.

Yep mine is all done by the book and it's a good job it is too as mr policeman checked

I had to send dvla proof, they asked who had fitted it, and seen as it was myself I had to then get a garage to report it was a 1.8 petrol and then send the DVLA the original copy which they kindly returned. Took a couple of weeks to do but I just wanted everything legit.
DVLA even have my engine number on the V5 now too

Thank the lord I never fitted one of the many (but cheap) stolen engines I was offered.
