I think on the mk3. It's more than likely people not fixing, or disconnecting their ABS. There's a few others on here with this sort of thing waiting to happen.

Seeing as I currently don't know the weather my ABS is working as I have a wrong coding fault and the block connector behind the dash light has been cut off and removed, this will be first on my list of priorities once the engine is back together and the car is back on the road. Although its just metal, I NEVER want my car to end up like this one.

+1 to this. I know that it is only metal. But a lota hard work had gone into this and LLs had it for years. And I'd be pissed off if I rolled my gti after all the work I'm going to it lol

The thing is you might not be so lucky and it wont just be metal. I don't know about you but I don't want to share the road with cars that could swap ends like this.

At the very least some people might look at this and then sort their own cars out.

Hopefully. But some think it's a good thing for the rear to almost overtake the front.

I removed the brake bias compensator completely, car never had ABS. These things happen and you learn the hard way, just hope people don't go making the same mistake after me, I've done enough damage for everyone!

The paper said I had a tyre blow out, so I guess that's what witnesses must have thought it looked like.

Anyway, been loving the cabrio today! Not a cloud in the sky and hot sun  gotta be making the most days like that!!!

I am going to do the front brakes on my Passat this weekend.
Was planning to anyway.

Sad times with the hatch after all the work but the cabrio is a great project.

Not much done recently, just been getting the bumper sat properly and fitted an upper glove box and a few little things.

Will be going to the bodyshop soon for a respray and to get all the panels sat nice. Looking forward to fresh paint and fresh splits!
