K&N 57i Induction Kit
« on: 22 January 2010, 17:39 »
The problem is that K&N doesn't make 57i induction kit for a 1.8 (no idea why...), but I really want to buy one  :undecided:

So what I'm thinking to do is get the kit for a 1.4-1.6. Just want to make sure that everything will be ok? I mean, what's the difference? It's just a bloddy air filter, right?

Then what's the difference if I get the kit? Except the looks, obviously.

But will it actually fit and work properly, if I get the one for 1.4/1.6?

There's 2 different air boxes fitted to the spi car's and I'm fairly sure most 1.4/1.6 have an old style pancake filter around the top of the spi unit where the 1.8 uses the same square (o/s wing) filter as the 2.0
