As for the hall sensor,unless the engine is running when you do a scan the hall sensor always comes up,it's a common mk3 thing and nothing to worry about.

Did a scan first and cleared all codes and then test drove and checked again and the hall sensor was the only fault second time. Not a major job to change the dizzy though. Just a bit lumpy on tickover but will be cleaning the throttle body etc this weekend.

Way too chavvy and attracts the wrong kind of attention !!!!!!!  It will be the first thing I replace and will be swiftly followed by removing the crappy bumper extension piece from the back as well.
