I can highly recommend Borbet FF1s as a really good alternative and Borbet actually supply wheels to VW.  Bought my from Rimstyle.

It won't be that much, I ordered a set of Scotsdale rims for my Ed45 a few weeks ago, paid approx £1400 and custom tax was approx £270. These are brand new rims, no tyres.

Alternatively make a friend in Northern Ireland and get them to post them on :smiley: We still don't have EU custom fees.

Or there's probably a forward it on company you could use.

Full set for sale 20 mins from me, no kerbing but wants £1,800 which I think is very steep

That’s crazy money but appreciate the heads up. Last year I saw a couple of sets sub 1k no tyres but didn’t have the cash - always the same isn’t it!

Definitely is always the way, I saw another set go up for £1,400 there but I still don't think they're worth it. I got mine sub £1k with tyres and posted.

There is a set on Facebook market place for £1400 with Bridgestone/Continental tyres in Newark on Trent.

Only snag is you have to buy the car with the wheels…
