a few days before mine car was heading into the bodyshop for new later style doors I discovered that my drivers side front wing was a bit worse for wear at the bottom where the plastic arch meets the metal. I've liked the look of the vented wings for ages now so seeing as half the wing was about to be sprayed anyway I decided to get a new one and have it done at the same time.
A quick call to the VW dealer netted me a genuine wing. Price... ?70.98 inc VAT. A bit steep yes, but I'd prefer to spend a little extra here and have a perfectly fittted wing than save ?50 and by one that looks like it isn't for my car. The plan was also that it would last a bit longer than a sh1tty copy one.
next call to Venom motorsport (01254 814444) to order the vent. There are 2 choices of vents you go for. Mine is the T4 style with 5 slits. There is the Merc Sprinter style too with 3 slits. Price... ?34.08 inc VAT & P&P
Off to the bodyshop soon for spraying on monday.
