in what order wax, polish etc ? help plz

 :smiley: hi dont really no the first thing about detailng and would be gratfull to taught !  :smiley:

1. please could sum 1 put an order up of things i do first to last ie wash then wax then polish etc etc

2. my car is reflex silver and i want the wettest look possible suggestions

This is what I do.....

1. Pre-Wash (Snow Foam)
2. Wash with 2 bucket method
3. Use Tardis to remove any tar
4. Wash with 2 bucket method
5. Dry
6. Polish
7. Seal
8. Wax coat
9. 2nd Wax coat
10. Admire.


GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

what about haze or watever it is  :laugh: :laugh: where would that fit in

Arghh, yeah so I did. School boy error.

This is my list if Im not claying...

1. Pre-Wash (Snow Foam)
2. Wash with 2 bucket method

This is my list if I clay (Which is probably twice a year, or once every 6 months)

1. Pre-Wash (Snow Foam)
2. Wash with 2 bucket method
3. Clay (If done properly it will remove tar etc)
4. Wash with 2 bucket method
5. Dry
6. Polish
7. Seal
8. Wax coat
9. 2nd Wax coat
10. Admire.

I think your thinking of Glaze.

Because my car is so new, I really dont feel I need to do it right now. My pait is in fab condition and when I polish it looks great so I dont feel I need the glaze on top to make it more blingy, I think its blingy anyway at the moment.

Dan and Guy will prob get cross with me for saying that though.  :grin:

Oh yeah, a Glaze is what you apply after polishing, it brings out that shine in the polishing you just done and gives it that wetter look.
