Car back after a £250 bill, they fitted 06h 103 495aj the part costing £100

Reading around the revision you need is dependent on build date, before or after 13 June 2010

 I know when I got mine the dealer said it was chassis number dependent. Did mine a few years ago and was about £80 back then iirc.

Quick update, car runs much better! I wonder if the fault was present for far longer before the split got large enough to hear.

Next question,

Water in in the rear footwells,is this the inner panel rubber seals getting old?
Bonnet liner sagging, are these really glued? I thought the liner was rigid and just held in by the tabs? Will they have to glue a replacement in?

Fitted my private short numberplates today I removed the numberplate plinth and decided to run without it.

My god, it was paintful to see so many holes :(

For the big holes, I found these caps in my garage so rubbed them down and used touchup paint to colour code them.
For the small screw holes, honestly why can't people just use pads

I used some flexiable panel filer to fill the holes then wipe over with a wet sponge, I will use my touchup paint over it tomorrow.
This will do until I can afford my bumpers to be professionally repaired I guess.

Sorry, I mean to say, how do they fit a replacement? Does it just fit into the tab arounds the edge of the bonnet and/or stuck with something in the middle?

Should fit with the tabs and several 'buttons' in the middle. The are holes for these in the bonnet ribs.
Mk6 GTI Carbon Grey, 2010 Bluetooth and voice fitted, a few VCDS mods still a comfortable family car. Red Scirocco 2011 twin charger stage 1 - enjoyable drive now gone.  White 2016 Polo GTI (roller skate on steroids) replaced with an Indium Grey 2019 7.5 GTI PP.

Annual service today, they recommended

Front discs and pads £575
Rear discs and pads £444
Oil sump £360

After seeing the video, I agree on the rear discs and oil sump

Anyone had these bits replaced recently as a price check?

Thanks

I bought Brembo UV coats Discs and pads for the front and rear for my GTi and used Apec pads, did the work myself and cost no-where near that.

Oil sump replaced today at the main dealer, the local specialist I used for the PCV valve (see earlier posts in this thread) was quoting £611 against the main dealer price of £380

This is the old one and let me know if you want the parts list, you'll need replacement bolts and "special" sealant
