Gave it a really good clean in and out.  Probably the dirtiest it's ever been inside, thanks to lots of site visits with colleagues who stick their muddy feet all over the place

Nice and tidy now.  Also checked oil and coolant, topped up screen wash and air in tyres ready for a trip up north.

weather up here is pants so the cars going to get manky again   give mine the exact same treatment today.

Thanks for pointing that out chris    It'll be manky again after 4 hours on the motorway tommorow, no doubt.  Plus I'll have to chisel the Pennines off it in a week's time.  Still at least it looks to be warmer up there than down here.

Nothing to the mk6, but discovered where my previous mk5 gti now resides.

My partner went to a local-ish farm this morning to price up a job.  Low and behold, there was my old mk5 parked up.  Turns out it was bought by lady of the farm just after I traded it in, she’s apparently into her cars.  I'm told it looked very dirty

Uh oh, what happened?  Did they refuse to carry out the list of 'warranty' jobs?

I felt like that when they refused to replace my central aircon vent after a piece of trim fell off it.  £126 quids worth but you'd think I was asking for the moon to be gold plated.  And this was after buying 2 gti's off them and never once claiming any previous warranty work on either of them.  In the end I picked up a second hand unit for less than a fiver on eBay and used the bit of trim from that.

Needless to say they didn't get my recent order for the mk7 R

Full tank of diesel, managed under 10p a mile this week. Not bad considering I don't drive with economy in mind whatsoever
