for a good few weeks i have been looking for a good forum, but carnt find one as good as golfgti, so ill just post it up here,
this is my A3 1.9tdi 110bhp. its 5 door iknoww :undecided: but for 2550 you carnt complain.
got it with a full service history all the way up to its current mileage at 128,000, and still runs like new,

Get some normal plates made up and be ready to grovel to change them over for the plod, as you will get pulled for those.
-
Looks nice mate other then the plates IMO. :undecided:
Always found it weird having German plates on an otherwise standard car.
-
Looks cool :)
-
cheers, i like them i think they stand out alot, i stilll have my others so if i get pulled ill just throw them back on,
am thinking about tinting, do you recon all windows? or just the back 3?

Any form of tint on the front windows is illegal

really? when did the law change as i thought 75% of light has to be able to pass through! or has this changed recently?
then again what shade is a 25% tint anyway? id stick with the green hue i have in my glass lol

Did you supply / show docs to get them, if not they are show plates plain and simple.
-
they've got all the relevant details on them, the correct font, correct size, correct spacing...
no police officer is gonna know if i supplied docs to get them or not...

Not the point, they are still showplates.
Number plate suppliers have to keep records by law.
-
well if they won't know whether i supplied docs or not then i'm hardly gonna worry am i... plus the plates i have on atm that came with the car have no details on them anyway apart from the reg itself and i've not been pulled for that so hardly gonna worry.

i got done for my plates (pressed german font) so got some legal font ones made up on the net, didn't supply docs or anything. the dvla requested pics of them and the little code in the corner, which i sent and all was fine.
