Playing devils advocate here as I know an MOT bloke; he could have just suspected that they had been retrofitted without the levelling .....I know they do get advised to look out for such things and with the increasing number of folk fitting HID kits without considering alignment / other road users maybe that's what he thought they were?

But yeah - they can be muppets too
sssh; it's 'only a diesel'; but i love it!

Yes, I know the control on the dash doesn't move the headlamps as I've fitted the self levelling   :smug:

I hope that's a VW OEM screw driver you're doing the self levelling with...

Meah, things get lost in translation on forums sometimes. I was intimating 'man with official screwdriver'. N'eh mind, it wasn't my best effort.

I knew what you meant Alex.
Things often don't quite come accross right on forums though do they. I often type things that sound amusing in my head and yet look stupid once I've typed them (ie. most things I post on here).

Though I'm sure it's quite common, there are certain people that drop by this section that come accross as complete dullards and miss the point of everything and end up just hating mk6 owners. I'm sure they're lovely in real life.......maybe.......

Feel free to delete this post Doc before the visiting vagrant eejits arrive en masse!

'tis a genuine VW screwing implement fo sure

My point is that they can't check that you have any kind of auto leveling system fitted, so if asked say yes.

FYI mine works on a "sky hook theory driven bi manual VW screwdriver stick it in and twist it it 360 degrees bi adjustment system"

Newsflash, golf R headlamps are the same as the normal xenon's and contain bulbs etc but are coded differently

Here's a link to some videos I made last of the xenon’s, more to illustrate the level than anything else.

I'll do some more in higher quality when I find my windscreen mount
