Could some kind soul (Snoopy?) with non led xenons please post a few pictures of their headlamps as follows please:

1. Side lights only
2. DRL's on
3. Indicator on

Many thanks, thinking on a video would be even better
I could except i disabled the DRL with VCDS and don't have a working labtop to enable them again.
They basically use the dipped main beam.

Oh hang on i may have a photo of the DRL from previously.

1. Sidelights only (triangle odd shaped bit only) (not on the LED version  )

2. DRL use dipped beam xenon and side lights front and rear.

3. Indicator (The light next to the xenon). (poor quality as camera phone takes ages to scan and my camera went flat after the other one  :embarassed:)

Hope that helps you out Doc.

^^^ I wouldn't bet on any non-xenon car working with any type of xenon at the moment Asker, it does seam a lot of the BCM's just aren't wired for the xenon shutter control.

I have found the correct part number for the latest BCM that will support both rear LED's and the Front DRL LED Xenon's is 1K0 937 087 E Z0K and costs £249.52 inc VAT

SteveP, would this BCM make my non-xenon '09 GT compatible for Front DRL LED's and fix that bulb out warning that I still have for the rear LEDs? or am I in a no-win situation?

Yes it would

Oh sweet

Now I just got to start saving up. Thanks Steve

It would indeed be good if we could get some firm prices for a full conversion.
And as an added bonus Dave ^^^ and myself could get rid of that confounded 'bulb out' light. Not that the light bothers me that much, but I like the thought of not having it there nagging me constantly (the woman in the seat to my left should have the sole responsibility of that job, I mean it's not as if I don't pay her enough for the priviledge  )

Thanks for that Snoopy, I was wondering where the side light was.

So on a xenon equipped car the DRL's are the dipped beam or are they less bright?

@Stevep,

can you tell me wich items i nedd to do a basic swap from standard headlights to xenon DRL headlights?

My GTi is from 7-2009.

So it's bassicly only the lights, i'm not planning to install headlight washer, auto leveller and things like that, i just want the xenon lights.

Thanks for your time,
