Amanda, and more importantly Kenny: Please forgive my vacillations. It's a lot of money and fitting time that's involved. I just wish to avoid as many hurdles and pit falls as possible before purchasing.
Snoops, you must admit, is talking compelling sense. Therefore, I'm following his advice. I feel it's for the best.
At least a shopping list has been comprised and a seller identified.

Another good reason to wait is the exchange rate. It's bloomin' awful right now.
You never know, once I've determined whether I'm up to the job of fitting it myself I may jump in too. I haven't driven the car in the dark much outside of town but when I did I was shocked at how bad the standard lights are. Unless the LED rears have caused the ECU or Control Module to wind back current to the front lights?

I totally agree with you about the Halogens, nay all Halogens. They are hopeless IMO. I don't think their illumination has decreased with the fitting of rear LEDs. They were just as ineffective before.
I have now sourced a brilliant German ebay seller,  Tuning-Fanatics, who are  not averse to discounting their discounts! I told them we were very poor in the UK! The others German sellers were hopeless and too expensive.
I have also managed to obtain every part number, right up to the smallest  part, for a complete Bi-Xenon fitting. It was a labour of love.
What has put a spanner in the works is the BW45 LED Xenon combination.
I also now prefer the GTi Xenons to the all black R ones.
Never again will I buy a car without Xenons!

I think the GTI Xenons will look better against your red paintwork.
My car is silver and thus I think I'll go for the black if I decide to go ahead. However this will mean I will also need to tint my fog lamps. So maybe I'll stick with the blingy GTI ones?

Anyhow, your parts list is excellent. Big cyber pat on your sore back for compiling it.
But it also scares me sh!tless as I'll need to fit it all myself.

There is even a bigger one I have not posted as yet with some really interesting price differences!
I'll PM you this once I can get to my PC.

A few weeks ago it was about £813 to 1000 Euro, at the moment I'm seeing about £874 to the thousand!

I have sent you the PM.
What do you think?

Yes, the exchange rate is not going our way. This is so annoying.

Thanks for the message Asker. Whew. Good effort!
I'm going to sit and digest that little lot later after I've helped the kids with their homework and dumped them in for their yearly bath

Yeah, I think it's the whole VW range going over to the Audi style lights as the Polo has the same style when specced with Xenons.
