I have a bit of (what seems like) engine movement or something 'moving' or 'rocking'...
If I set off slow up to 3k revs and just let off the throttle I feel some sliding or rocking movement.
Plus when I reverse I have some crazy vibration/rattle going on. No idea if this is related or not.
I suspected it to be the dogbone but just replaced that with powerflex bushes but no difference with the above issues.
Thoughts or ideas?

possibly the rear wishbone bushes ?
-
for the sliding movement or the vibration when reversing thing?
or could that cause both
-
could cause both , if they are badly worn they move about quite a bit !
-
CV joints all tight?
-
will check all this stuff out - dont really know what the hell that sh!t is but will look into it.
Could it be DMF?

I had a similar issue recently....knocking when pulling away and stopping and also when reversing. Was expecting the worst and all it turned out to be was the dogbone mount was loose. Tightened it up and it went away

Okay just tried rocking the engine and seems to me the nearside motor mount is bust?
Yes?

looks like its the passenger engine mount is shot to sheet mate

Going to get some new bolts today (£20 rip off) and a new mount from gsf. Not sure if they are any good though. Although dont fancy paying twice as much from vw
-
Hope its not the bolts that go into the block that are the issue. New bolts should be used here,(think they might be stretch bolts) trying to torque re used ones can strip out the thread. This happened to mine.

Now fixed.
Got new bolts. new engine mount.
Easy job
