Today uprated my fuel pump

Does that reach the bottom of your tank? What spec of pump is that?
Golf GTI ... What else would you have?

Took it to a VW show with rust showing! (it still attracted a few people to come and talk about it!)

Put the passenger side back together after replacing the front end of the sill. Started taking the driver's side apart as that needs a bit of welding too.

Drove it 180 miles home from Devon.

Then replaced the wiper mechanism (the old one was screeching but actually not semi-seized as I thought). Replaced the side indicators which were wet inside, with some new VW items.

It then chucked it down with rain so I got National Tyres to do the oil and filter. £49 for Fuchs Titan C-3 and a Unipart filter.

All ready for an early start to Midland VW in the morning...

Welded the other sill and fixed a hole in the floor - I'm done rust chasing for a while now :)
