I'm double-driving my Golf with someone.

Nick's ~~driving~~ testing his new toy.

I think Danny's sitting this one out/blagging passenger laps.

Beavis might show for a few passenger laps.

Big horsepower, rear wheel drive, and owners worried about their cars doesn't make for too much fun for them in the rain.

Post by: Horney on 26 June 2009, 23:35: I had to lend the noble driver my tools and trolly jack at the end of today as his front wheel was about to fall off as the hub nut had come undone and the whole hub assembly was flapping about causing the brakes to fail. Apparently it does this all the time! Nice car though.

It was like two different track days. Just pleased I didn't put the R888s on the night before - avoided a whole load of work there!

First one on the second lap at The Esses and second spin on the third lap at Old paddock Bend. Really didn't need to do that when the next car along was DH.
My excuse was nearly bald rear tyres which were over inflated. I was sure they had more tread on them when I looked the night before. Quickly resolved by putting differant wheels on with new Toyo Proxes in the tipping down rain, took me till lunchtime to dry out!

Bloody brilliant day, nice to see DH and Danny again, and to meet Nick and his Dad. Nice car Nick and its no slouch in the speed stakes.

No real dramas after the first two spins apart from the idiots in the red BMW.

Should have some video following Nicks car somewhere which I'll post up later in the week.
