Hi all.
It's been a while, had a few bits done, wrapped the roof recently. thoughts?

It looks sh!t hot buddy, I love the black roof against the pure white paint :cool:

Black mirror caps would finish it off nicely. Don't think the red strip quite works so well unless you get the red inserts in the headlights

Agree on mirror caps. Jury’s out on the red stripe for me although I do like the red GTD badge (I guess I would say that as I have one on my indium GTD!). Nice work on the roof 👍🏻

Cheers for the positive comments guys, I was a bit do I or don't I on the mirror caps. So didn't lol, the red stripe is a personal choice I guess. Red led inserts mmmmmmmmmm :nerd:

Roof looks great. For me, the red grill looks like you really really want to be GTI and doesn't work unless it's continues into the lights.

I for one would feel a little deceived upon giving you the friendly 'GTI nod' when on the road...

I give the nod to any other GTI drivers I see - it's about a 50% hit rate on the return nod. Not bad!

I might have to give that a try then, used to always do it when I rode a motorbike. Just GTI's or R's too?

Lol no I’m not trying to make it look like a GTI, the GTD looks very plain from the front imo so it was either a black or red stripe to break it up that’s all.

Don’t worry mate, I wouldn’t leave you hanging I’d nod back 😀 but can’t say that I’ve ever anyone nod at me yet though lol

Love the roof, the red strip doesn't work for me as it looks like a GTI wana be. I'd of gone gloss black strip to match into your theme. That's what I've gone for with my R, not keen on the chrome.

Yeah back in my (real) Beetle days, everyone used to wave.
Bikers obviously nod to each other.
Not seen it from Golf owners ever though.... I guess its less enthusiast based... Keep waving though, you never know it might become viral :D
