I ordered my first GTi on the 1st May, a standard spec 5dr in Tornado red. After being quoted full list price from my local dealer I went on car wow and got offered one for £26300 by Lookers. When I rang the local dealer to ask for the return of my equity from my old car they asked what the deal was and matched it, even including a full tank of fuel!!
Initially they thought they might have had access to a car already in the country but unfortunately it ended up as a factory order. I spoke to my dealer yesterday and have been given a build date of 29th May and he was confident I'd take delivery by early July. Looking forward to having a fun to drive car again, although I still have my Rover to bring a smile to my face!!
