I used this one for the trim:

Removing it is very similar to a mk5 & mk6, screwdriver in the one side and twist (make sure you pull the airbag once the spring clip has popped, it likes to go back in), then do the other side, pull out the airbag and undo the yellow harness clip and from memory there's a 2nd connector for the buttons. Then just the middle spline bolt.

This video also shows you what not to do as he manages to snap a clip off, when I change my steering wheel, I used a couple of the plastic tools and I sprayed a small amount of silicon spray on each of the clips prior to starting
