Hi,

I’m new the forum, but it looks very helpful.
Can anybody recommend a company, that can do the HK retro fit to Mk8.5?
Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for a nice set of the standard 17" alloys and tyres that come with the MK8 / 8.5 Golf GTE.

Let me know if you have a set.

Thanks

The BMW automatically heats seat on setting 1 when temperature is below 4 degrees, though the steering wheel needs activating.

Ive had this error for over a week now, multiple times a day. Checked all lights and all bulbs ok. Is intermittent but keeps returning. No obvious moisture in lights. Dynamic indicators stop working all round when error present. Seems to be emanating from rear left light.

Its booked in for 1st service so will have them take a look, but curious whether anyone has any ideas? Software up-to-date on car (no OTA updates available). Any comments welcome. Cheers

I did some research when I seen them. I THINK they are to check tyre wear

2013 gti here with stop start coded out for many years still on the original  EFB battery and it’s healthy ! Drive the car more to give it a good recharge. If you’re only doing short trips your battery will be toast in 3-4 years. My wife also has a golf and she’s on her 3rd battery on a 2016.

Full set of 4 very rare front (the rears are too big for VAG, so you need four fronts) Mclaren 570S super-lightweight wheels - will fit many VAG models (VW, Skoda, Seat, Audi) including Golf. Happy to help check if they'll fit your vehicle.

These are the forged wheels that were a £10,000 Mclaren extra when new. Incredibly light (about 7.5kg each) and strong.

All 4 wheels are 19 inch/8J/ET32.5
Bolt pattern 5x112
Centre bore 57.1mm

All come with 235/35/19 Pirelli P-Zero (PZ5) tyres fitted in 2025 and used for approx 5,000 miles. Ranked first in tyrereviews .com "Best Performance Tyres for 2025" test.

No known cracks or other structural defects. Happy to provide more photos/closeups on request.

Bought these in 2025 (took months to find all 4) and ran them on my Yeti over the Summer (they fit perfectly) - back on winter wheels and tyres now. I've seen a set on a Skoda Superb before and they looked brilliant.

Could do with a refurb if you want perfection, but they're very presentable as is.

Happy to meet part way or deliver depending on location. Happy to answer any questions and provide additional photos on request.

£1,950 based in Wiltshire.
