Title: Here is my mk2 gti
Post by: Ardz83 on 25 September 2010, 18:50
I won this golf gti on ebay, car had FSH,12 months MOT and 6 months tax. So i travelled a 150 mile round trip to get her,not too far really but was a mission. I turned up at a caravan park in salisbury and seen it packed under some tree's with leaves on it and looking abit dirty.
Any way i payed or it and made it home without a problem which i was impressed with, so here she is
Pic from after i picked it up

I was well chuffed the way she came up after a wash and polish

I have some plans for the car
Nice exhaust system cos mines blowing
smoked lights on front end
Nice set of wheels
Job done

Look forward to so if people like her.

What about it? Is it because most gti's are slammed on their ass?

It looks particularly high, even more than std.

Looks Good M8...

The wheels as fitted are they 14 or 15's as thats what may make it look like an Crosscountry or Audi Allroader..

I fitted Eibach springs -40mm which is a nice compromise over coilovers as our roads are shocking and I like what few teeth I have left!!

Just food for thought!!

+1 nice enough car, but horrible headlights

The drop looks much better, but the front needs to come down a tad

Also good choice with the Magnex :afro:

Are those indicators the ones with built in side lights, if so, like them, not keen on the headlights, sorry.

It's sitting really nice, as said, bit lower up front or a tad up on the rear, exhaust looks good too. :afro:

Im thinking of going back to the 4 light grille actually. Also im going to bring the rear up a little bit.

They are the indicators with built in sidelights and its running on JOM coilovers.

Thanks for the comments guys.

No they are a factory option i have been told. I have no idea if this is true but been told it by a few people now.

Sorry mate, I don't think they are... certainly not for a MK2 anyway.

They look just like stealths but I'm confused as yours are capless and TSW only did that to the 14s I think.

Very similar....  :undecided:

Yep 14" stealths never had center caps, 15"s did, they do look like stealths are they 14"

He said further up they are 15's which is what threw me off a bit... so now i'm not too sure what they are. Still pretty certain they are not a factory option wheel though.

Could be Wolfrace alloys, they were available from VW for a while as a Sport Radar alloys.
