My 2017 Clubsport can be provoked into slipping the clutch.
High gear, low rpm, floor it and as the boost builds it slips, only does it like this which I know is bad practice.
I was worried it would get worse until it fails, but its been 1000 miles since I discovered that and by driving it properly its been ok.
I was planning to change it, but AKS are booked up for months and as its behaving I'll leave it for now.
One thing is certain, when it does go a Helix one is going in.
Cheers,
Jason.

My 2016 Mk 7 had a slipping clutch at 38,000 miles.  I owned it from 11,000 miles and I never hold it on the clutch or slip the clutch or do burning take-offs etc, nor have I ever had a clutch problem in 40 years of driving.  It was a basic 220 bhp manual gti.   It first showed up on the motorway in 6th, putting your foot down at about 70 showed a rev surge.

It was about £600 for a new clutch and possibly another £400 for a dual mass flywheel so I traded it in to  a main dealer.
