Received my bluefin back from superchips after being reset. Plugged it in and got an error.

Think my ecu is blocking the read from the superchips hand held. Kept getting hardware error d004.

Will be looking for a refund and looking for somewhere else to remap it.

its a 2010, I will ring them in the morning. I have read online that there are some cars that the ECU blocks.

Before deciding to use Bluefin I went to Evotune and he said there was no way to map the car without bypassing the ECU. Superchips said they could.

It may be that Superchips haven't unlocked it correctly or maybe have it linked to the wrong car. I will see what they have to say.

What does your mate car go like?

Not bad extremely smooth and linear.
You should have no trouble with a 2010 GTI as I have read about loads that age been bluefined
GTDs have locked out ecus
GTIs from iirc mid 2012 are locked out.

Update - tried my bluefin again this morning and it has downloaded original map to send to superchips.

Hmm, not sure what happened there.

Anyway at work now so I can't send it off till tonight :(

I'm worried now that during upload of the new map it fails with a half loaded map....... :undecided:

I feel for you, But living in Newcastle you have a great mapping company about 20 mils away. PDT mapping is one of the best in the country and they are only in Sunderland.

They have a great service. Give them a shout.....you wont regret it.

PDT is no longer a running company. They have again changed names, now to Sedox.

I have had a map done by them before when I had my Vectra, tbh it went well for a diesel. Although my mate had his seat Leon cupra done there and when he had it rr'd elsewhere he was advised to take the map off as fueling was wrong and something else was wrong.

Have you had any dealings with them?

Yeah sorry Sedox, forgot they had changed names. I havent personally, few friends have though, and they were really pleased. I think they have really stepped up their game in last year or two.

My first choice been in West Yorkshire would be R-Tech, closely followed by Sedox.
