any chance for a more detailed explaination of this for a newbie?

I'm not sure your 1.6 has a coil pack per cylinder so may be totally irrelevant mate. I *think* the 1.6 only has one, wait for someone to confirm or suggest otherwise.

nah its got 4 coilpacks, one on each plug

it has one main ignition coil pack 
engine codes:AHW,AXP,AEH,AKL,AVU,BQF,APK,AQY,AZJ,AZH =single dis coil with four ht lead outputs

so it could be more than likely that you have an HT lead to one of the 4 cylinders which could be breaking down
