Mk4 Coil Pack?..

My car keeps miss fireing or somthing.. im sure every month i have to change a coil pack and its always number 1 or number 2.. i aint sure why it does this does anybody know why it does? the care is around 200bhp remaped wid rec valve an panel filter an exhaust.. if anybody knows let me know thanks

Might be wrong as [touches wood] never had to replace 1 on my AUM yet :smiley:
But sure it's recommended to only use genuine ones, and replace all four together..

Yeah I would say buy genuine and replace all four. Two of mine went (1 and 3) about 2 months ago and I swapped all four. No problems since.

what do u meen by genuine? where do i get them from and i should replace all four? well this has happend 4 times now.. an its always number 1 and number 2 and i get the part from SAS they around 25 pound for 1

genuine = getting them from VW themselves as the aftermarket one from the likes of GSF etc seem to fail easier.....

also with coil packs youshould neer just replace one! norm best to do them in pairs as replacing jus one can make another go

 this one says its genuine but these are the same as i brought from the sas place so i should go to vw an get 4 new ones which will cost like over 100 pound and do they look the same as this or diff? coz mine is the same
