Yeah heated. Ah, shame.

One of the things I'm looking for on my next car. Fed up of mine misting up all the time.

IIRC its only fords and volvos with heated windscreens.
If you got air conditioning it takes the moisture out the air which in turn dis mists the windows

Yes, they do demist quicker with a/c, but a heated front screen would definitely win, LOL.  Just remember how quick your rear screen is ready compared to the (a/c'd) front!  :D

The a/c air is always colder than the 'normal' air on any temperature.  As I said before, the a/c demists quick, but it doesn't melt ice quickly!

Get a mk4 1.8T or TDI 130/150 and a remap - You will love it

Hmm, £40 from Halfords, but no guarantee.  Or £86.25 (not to be exact or anything! :P) from Awesome, with a free check up to ensure it will successfully work.

I guess the garage option would win, the free check up beforehand and all that.

Not bothered about ice - some warm water will do the job there. Sounds like A/C is all I need then.

Thanks for all the input guys, very much appreciated.

Rich, I would only go for a MK4 with a 1.8T engine. I'm not interested in the diesel engines as they cost about £200 more for me to insure and cost more to buy. I'm more of a petrol head anyway.

If I do buy one first on my list of some decent suspension and then a remap.

don't forget that A/C DOES NOT WORK if the outside temperature is under 5 degrees  :nerd:

So my 6:20 am drives to the gym when it's -2 outside mean I can't de-mist the windows?

Dont forget brakes, as I've found out standard ones are sh!t on a remapped golf
