Cheers jv  liking the name too

I'm gunna use this for both of my mk3s as its easier, will be mainly photos
 :undecided:
Thort I'd start one of these bcoz I've got some big plans for it now so would like a record

So here's whats done so far (just for future reference)

fitted remote locking

before

after

mk4 seats

lowered

black carpet

colour coded rear bumper
and new(to me) wheels

black door cards

New wheels

Also sprayed two wheels white, never got round to spraying the other two lol

Heres how it looked when I sold it to my dad and bort a 16v gti (dads Jetta)

The gti had a few problems so I sold it on and bort my dads Jetta off him, got that back on the road, drove it for a week and missed a mk3 so swapped it back for the good old 1.6 :)

Put the gti grill on the 1.6 and bort some new wheels  B)

I got some new rubber

And this

A Passat duckbill splitter from Germany

Fitted

Got the tyres fitted

I then decided against the duck bill and went back to the vr splitter

Fitted an engine cover to try n hide the mighty 1.6

How it sits now

Plans for it next are
smooth the number plate reses on the front bumper,
uprate the front brakes to 280mm
Abf engine conversion
And maybe some mk4 recaros

Started the first step towards my bigger brake setup

Bort a set of 16v mk2 hubs

The ball joints and rod ends where still on and looked like the one the factory put on 20 old years ago. But the wheel bearings feel nice and smooth

So took them to work today and a very strong work collouge with a big hammer and the gas bottles and get the rod ends and ball joints off

Then cleaned them all up with a wire wheel

Then sprayed then with some hammerite,

Trees make good spraying racks

Both done

I've got a set of mk3 gti carriers and callipers lined up and a list on euro parts for about £100

Well today the sun is out!!!! So I spent some quality time with my car  . First off took out the front mk4 seats and modded the rear mounts so now I can move them back and forward! Next, a year after o bort a set of black front carpets I finally put them in. After that I gave all the carpet a fecking good hoovering. After that's I attacked the whole inside of the car with dash/interior cleaner, then hoovered the seats and put them back in. Then cleaned all the shut edges. Cleaned the wheels then the outside of the car and then cleaned all the glass. After all that drove it down the road and has a bit of a selfwhore fest

Pics!
My sisters dog making the seats hairy!

Bit of self whoring!

The mighty 1.6

I bort a16v as a doner but decided to fix it up,

Pic from first getting it

Took the arches and sills off to see how bad the rust was

 Start with the bad side.

Front drivers arch

Rear arch

Drivers side sill

 :(

But now for the good(ish) side

Pas side front arch

Next to no rust!  :o

Pass side rear arch

Pass side sill

No holes!!

A couple other pics I got

Gave it a clean with my other mk3

too ;)

The good side of the gti  8-)

And here's the plan
