Cheers JV,

Okay bought car November 2008 with 71k on clock! Totally Standard golf mk3 gti 8v!
First thing was a seriously good service, then after 1 week of ownership car started playing up acceleration problems, turned out to be Airflow Mass Sensor, Got new one sorted, then week later exhaust falls off! Replaced with a new standard exhaust! then few weeks later noticed oil leaking fom crank sensor, off to garage for repair! After weeks of messing around tracing oil leak Garage finally got it sorted  So got my car back for mid january 09! Anyway car starts running rich and keeps cutting out! At this point im losing it lol! turns out to be ECU temp sensor! swapped for new one Job sorted, next Job is dreaded MOT, passed no probs

Okay so thats my history of car to date! Iv overcome many probs and its only the help from peeps on this website that inm on the right track so thanks for that!
