Speed of the forum?
« on: 06 January 2008, 14:44 »
Has anyone else noticed the loading speed of the forum has been quite tempramental lately? This isn't a pop or anything (although it is annoying), i'm just not sure if it is my pc or the forum itself? Other sites load as normal for me but computers can be strange things sometimes..........

ive had it a bit, but remember there is signatures and pictures loading from everywhere, and adds. And its big forum, plus if your on other websites, all slows it down. Wireless?

Good point micster but I get this sometimes, it just seems to hang when you click on a new topic (so user sigs/general crap hasnt even loaded)

Maybe it would help to know what ISP everyone's using - I'm on plusnet

Ah right, i hadn't been on over the xmas period, only the last couple of days since i've been back so didn't see that thread.

Well i'm with ntl, but TeddyKGB summed up what happens with me but then 30 seconds later it will be fine.

My route to golfgtiforum.co.uk eventually goes through oneandone.net - nuff said :lipsrsealed: :lipsrsealed:

So it's either oneandone or the server this forum's hosted on init
