Hi, no need to remove the existing lip as this sits perfectly over it and covers it up

It has double sided tape along the top edge, although i changed this for some genuine scotch 3M tape as the one on it wasn’t very sticky, it also comes with self tapping bolts and holes along the bottom edge.

Cheers Jason

Did you have to remove the existing trims along the bumper sides before fitting the TCR lip?
Easy to remove, if so?

Thanks

I can't really hear anything either metallic. Do you have any mods?

Yeah peace of mind knowing its done,

It was surprising how much was sitting in that area, but as the drain plug isn't draining under the pump location it will accumulate somewhere.  It makes you think that only changing the oil will see a big build up over the years in these cars.

Service kit £30 (2 seals/2 bolts for pump)
Drain plugs £11 each
BorgWarner oil £28 (VW oil is more than double and likely supplied by BorgWarner)  (Febi do an oil at 1/2 the price of the BorgWarner but not sure as it was so cheap)

Someone did suggest once the work around was to work the actuator (gear lever a lot) as the switch corrodes or something. Not sure how true that is.

Well I tried Guzzle's idea and the mirror dipped when I put it in reverse. Unfortunately, it wouldn't go back up to its normal position - it stayed in the dipped position until I adjusted it manually.

Any suggestions please?

Did you try driving forward with the door mirror glass in the dipped position? It should return to the normal (non-dipped) position when you drove forward and reach a speed of somewhere between 5-10 mph (can’t remember the exact speed).
