I tend to steel wool my windows once a year.  What a difference that makes.

Wow, sounds dangerous!

Not at all. It takes some amount of rubbish off.
People just think it will inflict scratches but it doesn't.
Its recommended on most detailing forums.

Yes £57 in mine every week.
Noticed that the R takes more to fill up than the GTD, GTD took about £52 of diesel.
More money less miles........but more smiles

Yep!

I've stopped counting how many tank fill ups mine's had in 6 weeks....but it's a lot!  Worth it though.

Yes, it sure likes to drink.  My long term average is actually going down, lol.  Dropped from 24.9 to 24.1mpg.  Mind you I decided in the last couple weeks to make the morning school run a little more entertaining so been driving in Sport most of the time which has made it a tad thirstier.   And the city traffic has been particularly bad of late which has had an impact too. I'm getting to know the staff at the Shell garage much better!

Looked to see how much a new 19" BBS SR alloy wheel is - the wife took mine to work today (as I'm fitting new discs and pads to hers) and just rang me to tell me she's badly kerbed one of the alloys. Around £190 so not too bad.

She was nearly in tears but I'm way past getting upset over little things like that - at the end of the day, she could have had an accident and been hurt, so it's no biggie.

D'oh!
These things happen.
My youngest son kerbed the wheel of the driving school car today and is gutted, the driving instructor sent him a text after the lesson telling him not to worry about it!

This is exactly how I feel these days tbh, don't get me wrong I take care of my car with a "Money No Object" attitude, BUT if something like that happens, get it fixed and move on  As you say as long as nobody is hurt then live with it
