Immaculate Mk1
« on: 24 August 2010, 17:36 »
Went to the Cumbria Classic Car show at the weekend and saw an absolutely immaculate Mk1. The bloke who owned it bought it 3 years ago, it had been stood standing for the 5 years previous to that so was in a bit of a sorry state. He basically completely stripped it down, cleaned or replaced anything that needed it and rebuilt it all. It won 1st in class and i'm not suprised!

A couple of other cars that grabbed my attention:

Ford GT40:

Lancia Delta Integrale:

And of course the best car there (which needs spacers badly!)

There is a factory fresh Mk1 that always displays at the Swansea motort show.  Its a 1.3 sort of beige/gold colour with a roof rack and big bolstered seats with those back massage beads on.  Its immaculate.

useless without pics I know, i'll try to get some.

The pics do look like it's just rolled out of the factory, so if it looks better in real life then that's one nice mk1 that's for sure.

If so he does a lot of the shows but I think he's recently sold it or it's up for sale.
