Topped up the brake fluid.

Err, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the brake fluid supposed to go down as the pads wear thus indicating when the pads need changed?
If you top it up then you potentially suffer brake failure as there will be no pad gripping the disc...?

Unles you mean completely changing your brake fluid, bleeding the brakes etc then I can understand the logic as you do need to that every year or so.

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

let the missus drive the car for the 2nd time since passing her test yesterday  :shocked: :shocked: :shocked:

and tested my auto-dimming mirror which has sat on the shelf for 10 months - it works!!

took all the rubish out the car the previous owner left in the car including the old grey car mats found silver gti alloys under all the break dust on a four of the alloys and gave it a good hover out in inside as well as a new air freshner emm smells good!! :grin:

Went out, opened bonnet checked clutch cable travel. Seems fine. Shut bonnet again.
 Going to see if I can get to the bottom of the slippy clutch issue.... :angry:

ive been playing with my mk2 wiring and doin my head in,still havent got rev counter working ,found that green wire works rev counter on mk3 clocks but not on mk2 ,there must be a pin change i have to do but cant suss it

Replaced the front knock sensor on the VR.

What a b!tch that was!!

Hopefully it'll drive a bit better now

And stripped as much of the interior as possible so I can sort out what the previous cowboy owner did...
