« on: 08 October 2013, 23:54 »
so i bought this off my sister as a daily runabout for the princely sum of £600

it is really tidy and has had a full respray in the last couple of years, it's a 1.6 with 120k on the clock

plan is to run this while i'm getting the mk2 on the road then have the mk2 as a weekend car :)

needs a few bits:

gearbox mount
drivers window regulator
oil and filter change
new plugs
new drivers door handle and lock (already have this)
wheels need refurbing

comments welcome :)

so yesterday i cracked on with getting her back into fighting form! :D

first off was a good old service, first i got rid of this tired old air filter...

for a shiny new one i found laying in my garage :P

then i changed oil, oil filter, plugs and sump plug... plugs were a b!tch to do as it is a crossflow head and can only just do it without removing the inlet!

then i changed the gearbox mount, which was actually in two pieces!

then next was to replace the drivers electric window regulator and door handle and lock...

the muppets at gsf had given me a manual one so i had to drive back to get it exhanged with no doorcard and wood holding the window up aha

then i swapped my mk2 wheels onto her as i hated the dare rs especially in black... then i went to wind the coilies right down but the front passenger lock ring was seized so next weekend i will be removing the helpers to get extra lows :D

then got a few snaps of her clean :)
