After reading that.. once my mk2 is road worthy that is the route im going.. where you buy your paint ??

Yeah but look at the results... it's probably absolutely spotless, very highly protected and cost him feck all but time.

The bonnet is only a trial and therefore I'm using hammerite satin smooth with thinners (from home base  :grin:).... will look for something better/cheaper if this works.

Yes, marine paint.... My other halfs dad painted his Triumph Herald with it.. Meant for hulls of boats and mk3's
