Title: Mk1 GLi cabrio 1.8 - help needed
Post by: redbites on 13 May 2003, 18:20
My car has always been serviced. Now in the last year, it simply refuses to start. Sometimes it can take 8 attempts to start. Now it refuses to start. I've changed the battery. There is petrol in it (not much). When I did get it to start, it idled like it was on 3 cyls. Horribly.
HELP!
The alarm is ok as well. ??? ???

Have you checked the fuel lines and filler pipe?
If they look rough, (rusty) chance are the inside of your tank could do with a flush and your pipe changing.
Hope this helps. :)
