Headlight level height control switch problem

Hi,my 2003 golf interior dash headlight level height control switch no longer adjust my headlight beam, was wondering is there also a fuse for this switch, though the wheel for dash brightness works ok.
 Or is there another fault to this that someone has come across?

It's not a fault I'm familiar with. The fact both have stopped moving suggests it's not the headlight motors, very unlikely they'd both fail. Thorough worth checking with someone listening to the motors. Headlight adjustment is same fuse as low beam bulbs, are they working OK? If so more likely at the interior adjustment dial itself.

Hi, think your right about the motors, picked up a new switch free from scrapyard and lights did respond up and down  but could hear a noise, as if motors were labouring. So will check them
