Title: Air Bag warning lights
Post by: mak911s on 30 November 2003, 17:08
Hi all

took the front seats out my new 98s 1.8 GTI non turbo, just purchased a week ago and gave then a good clean with the vax.  Not that they needed it, just i wanted to clean them.
Now they're back in and electrically connected back up, i'm getting the airbag warning light illuminating.

Any ideas?????

cheers

Mark

try disconnecting the battery for half hour the refitting!!, if no good try getting someone with a laptop and vagcom software to diagnose the fault! if not get main dealers to put it out!!!, unless you discharged the cylinder you should have no fault unless plugs not securly in place etc!!
