Is it proper fooked or just smoking like a bastard? If its the latter I can definitely recommend Midland Turbo, £180 plus vat for a full re-build.

Well its running lots of white smoke and hoses are collapsing into turbo.

Will have a word with the mechanic as I am not sure how bad it is, might have a word with midland turbo - thanks for that.

Mine was the 130 though so the smaller turbo

Midland Turbo
Turbo Technics
CR Turbo's

All the above will do brand new / refurbished ones.  Or you can got for a hybrid turbo which will see you a healthy 210bhp

All depends how much dollar you got to spend.  Think I paid just over £400 for a factory fresh replacement unit for my 130TDI

I don't mind on cost really - with in reason.

So what would be the reccomendation for a hybrid turbo - presume would need to combine with a re-map for 210bhp

Varying quality it seems  :undecided:  I've never bought one so can't advise

And yes you would need a remap to take full advantage of the new turbo

OK thanks for that, not really sure where to go with this - it looks like getting it sent over to Midland Turbo the best option and see how badly its damaged, but looks like it was very hot as the casing has gone blue - next issue is working out what caused the failure (high temp).

If it got that hot, has the oil feed failed or blocked  :undecided:
