Twice today i've had audi drivers climbing in my boot through country lanes while i'm looking for a house i've never been to before then almost get forced off the road by a woman in a Q5 who was quite prepared to drive up and over me i think..wan**rs!!

Chip on their shoulder, you MUST get out their way and they are most definitely more important than you and the law. They've also spent too much on a car they can't really afford, thus no hands free kit and holding their phone.

Had an Astra driver on Monday coming up my arse as I was going past some middle lane tosser. I'm doing about 70-75MPH and he's behind in the fast lane flashing his lights as I'm going past? :huh:
It's not like I can go anywhere and I'm doing the speed limit. So took my time overtaking. :grin:
TBH, you've just got to let it go, I've done the whole let them past then do it back but they hit those brakes and it's your insurance penalised, or worse.

They have all transfered from BMW's because, although they all know a BMW is a better car but know they cant handle RWD so have transfered to Audi to save face and get some boring boring 4wd action instead :laugh: :grin: :laugh:. looks are subjective. the a3 interior is so dated its a joke

I have to say looks are subjective and for me personally the R32 looks better than the S3 and also comes with more doors (yes I know the s3 does also but have you seen the thing :sick: )
I cannot for one second allow you to think the interior of the A3 is better than the golf... take a look at a 2003 a3 and see if you can spot the difference between a 2011 model.. same buttons switches etc :rolleyes:
Not to mention that sub standard attempt at a sat nav they use, and the skinny steering wheel on their halo sport model A3 range. The fact that the ride is unnecessarily hard and the dealers are want-to-be bmw drivers in essence kind of sums it up for me.
I think if you actually take a look at both the golf and a3's of similar age and spec e.g. tdi 170 ..... the golf seems to match the a3 and in turn actually offers a slightly better residual value.
I dont think the golf is the greatest car ever... but to think the audi is better is plain stupid where the golf and a3 are concerned (see similar story with new polo and a1). I for one wouldnt be seen dead in an audi, simply because I think they are way overpriced and fail to deliver. When we move onto the larger composition vehicles its very simple to see the pecking order...

I went from an R32 to an S3, i can assure you my interior is way above the Golf, I also used my Mums GTI while she had it and I had the S3, it felt cheaper and looked cheaper.
Looks are subjective, yes. I didnt have the satnav in either car, so cant comment.

try reading the article rather than the headline. It refers to the month of April only. The last time Audi sold more units than BMW was January 2011. So 2 months out of the last 18?!?

So where is the contradiction. As a brand Audi are moving ahead, the recent high sales (of which are more than BMW) prove this. There are a few BMW's I would pick over the Audi equivalent, I gave one example, but in general i would pick the Audi.

I've had two Audi A4 Avants, a 1.9tdi SE and a 2.0tfsi s-line.
For interior quality you can't beat- for originality, now-a-days every model is just a carbon copy of the other- A4 is a smaller A6. New A3 looks like a bigger A1. Yawn!
My MK5 GT TDI though wees all over them in handling and ride comfort though!
I've had VAG cars for 11 years now- but think I might try out the facelifted Mercedes c-class next, a lot more standard kit and the interior is a lot better now.

Actually no it's not, I had the choice of either a 2000 plate bmw 316i compact or a 54 plate Audi a4 2.0 for the same money from my boss, I bought the bmw and have done 25,000 miles in it and it has not missed a beat yet, my boss gave the a4 too his wife and hey guess what? 2 weeks later the gearbox packed up, went back to the dealer and he basically said he didn't care and that he wouldn't fix it, my boss had to get a solicitor involved to get them to sort it, my mates old boss bought a 53 plate a4, after a month that had a massive wiring fault, stopped the car from running, he had to pay for it himself, my landlady's best friend has a passat, 1993 i think it is, over 300k on the clock still going strong, drives from England to France every week in it.
I think an R32 is much better looking than an S3, but that's just my opinion.

I would never buy an Audi because I find the drivers are often inconsiderate, like silly spoilt children.
Not a group I wish to join.
Volvo drivers used to be like this but now they are just sensible folk.
BMWs might still have the plonkers but they sell so many now that the plonks are diluted.

TBF, exactly half of Merc drivers are careful and considerate, the rest are complete knobeds! Where I used to live for example (and its only one!) 2 groups of asians had AMG E63's and insisted on doing drag races between sleeping policemen right past a school and park. Sounded fabulous though :sad:.

I would make 1 exception, I would take the keys and set foot in it, but only to put it into a wall or the river, I want to drive his M5 but doesn't matter how much I ask he won't let me, :cry: I'm trying to convince him to go for his other choice, a VXR8 in black.
