got an email from my dealer today with my cars order number, progress at last, now to find this tracker thingy so i can see what stage its at and get totally downhearted lol

Yeah there was a brief moment of optimism a few weeks back when it seemed everyone had moved to a BW of 35.  Since that rug was pulled out from under us I've given up.

There is a BMW dealer just up from my house.  I drive past it every morning.  Its getting mighty tempting.

Just this week priced a BMW135 like for like spec against Golf and surprised less than 2k difference in price ( BMW obviously the more expensive).Could be because I am in Jersey no VAT so maybe prices are closer.

My BW28 GTI finally went to 'in transit' today - it appears BW28 also includes the shutdown weeks, where I'm told production continues but at a reduced capacity.

Great news Neil. My 5dr GTi (Also in Pure White) was also confirmed for BW28, but unlike yours my has NOT gone into Transit which is a bit odd seeing that yours has??? 

The wait continues... Lets hope its a glitch in the system
