Detailed the car for the first time.....that takes to long

Looks excellent   Fantastic pic in the detailing 'reflection shots' thread too.

What did you use on it?

There's a detailing section on here?

BTW, the car looks great Lee, you can't beat a clean Lapiz blue Golf in the right light.

Might fit a tracker, but these pro car thefts seem to know where they are, I was thinking about putting a old iPhone  in the car with the find my iPhone app on it &connecting to ANKER portable power supply which should keep the phone charged for a couple of weeks at a time this way I could hide it in a more discrete place..

Sorry to hear about your ordeal. Hopefully your wife and boys are starting to get over it.
You could hide / install something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tracker-Vehicle-Theft-Protection-System/dp/B003XDN58K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1439216649&sr=8-2&keywords=car+tracker

On Saturday evening took it across the Breacon Beacons mixing it with the kamikaze sheep and then came across country back to Oxford on the A40, stunning roads and scenery and nice to get out there for a drive

Drove mine past a VW Caddy van with Prets today!

And the ACC "limited view" message did not appear. If I can go 3 days in a row through the Tyne tunnel without setting it off then i'll consider it fixed.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Got 3 very small but very white stone chips on my windscreen (which has already been replaced in the 11 weeks i've had the car). Doubt they'll be repairable as the chip won't be deep enough to provide a key.

My ACC never got set off though - that's 3 trips through the tunnel with no limited view alert, I think they may have fixed it.

Hallelujah!  Hopefully that's the end of your ACC woes.

Re the stonechips - maybe you need to slow down.
