Being a felow Black car owner with a fresh painted front end.

When you get the first stone chip, which you will, its inevitable, with it being black and standing out, will you cry like i did?

I will be pissed off. I use the car everyday, I built it to enjoy. I am thinking of that film u can have fitted? On the bumper maybe ? If not I can just get my mate to paint it again haha

I hate black cars at times, they look great with fresh paint and when they've just been cleaned but imperfections show up fast!  Both my cars are black, I've had my daily since it was brand spankers, it's two years old now and looks pretty cr@p up close, I painted the front of the golf not that long ago and the front valance already has chips and i've only done about 1500 miles in it!

I was asking about protective film recently. People said to go for film that lets in UV so that the car fades at the same rate all around. The anti-UV film ends up with the front of the car one colour and the back a different colour  It's difficult to fit too so make sure whoever fits the film is skilled

Car now in my mates bodyshop, I wouldnt leave untill i had made sure my clean engine was well covered from dust, stripped the front end of complete, no wings no nothing, spent 2 hours coving every gap where dust could get into the bay (did my mates head in ) then wrapped the front of the car to double make sure haha, will be difficult rolling it into the ovens but hey ho

Agreed! Your paint was always pretty damn good anyway but once it's done it'll literally be perfect! All you need now is a magazine feature

yeah im interested in a magazine feature after all the hard work thats gone into it. between 3 of use, Myself, ben and my other close Mate jonny (paint) we have basically rebuilt this car fully!!
