 i caught it in time mate, heard the bearings in the pump and i already know they are notorious for failing so i parked her up, then the day after i noticed the coolant was all gone from the expansion bottle, and some was on the floor which confirmed it

had it towed to the garage as i was not gonna risk starting it and thast was that

If i had driven it some more i dont like to think what could have hapened

You just cant risk this sort of stuff, makes you wonder how many Vag cars from 1999 ish onwards are driving round with hardly any waterpump left Guy at Audi told me all vag cars have this pump but they have been made stronger so this one should last longer

UPDATE

1 week tomorrow (Week commencing 18th July) F17BAD will be dismantled and given a fresh coast of its original colour L041 Black..

in Prep for visit to some shows and stuff and to basically finish of the car (for now)

Then it will be booked in for a custom remap and also be treatred to a Forge Actuator

Im pretty lucky as one of my best mates owns a really top bobyshop with some of the best equipment.. House of Kolor dealer etc....
He did my arches for me so i could get the car as low as it is on the porker rims. He knows im a fussy bas tard so i know he will treat the car with the respect it deserves.

He quoted the job at around the 3k mark. But iv got a much better deal than this.. its an absolute steal and id be a shady pioneer to not take him up on it.

He knows my plans for the car and he wants his name attached to it because thats obviously good for business 

I originally only wanted the bonnet and bumper doing due to age related stone chips but he insists on a full job
