I'd leave the battery there for two reasons, one it looks more OEM and its somewhat insulating hot air from reaching his new found intake for the filter.

Think it will look really empty with the battery gone and I can't think what you could possibly fit to fill in that gap except a ps3 george forman grill

relocation is the way forward lol.. cleaner looking bays look sweet and are relatively cheap to start off..

did think of moving the battery but i do like the OEM look of it p;us i really like to keep all the engine related stuff in the engine bay... we will see  :smiley:

You could make the MK4 battery cover fit or orientate it longitudinally and use the MK4 battery base with a plate to extend the battery tray.

did think of this too, i like it as it is for now but if i make a change at some point then this cold be the one  :wink: :cool:

Car is not playing out tonight unfortunatly, the waterpump is leaking and making a noise like a bag of spanners  :grin:  think the impeller has broken, its already booked in for m onday for new Cambelt, tensioners, dampners and Water pump (all genuine Audi)

Not risking using it till then, but you can take a look at it on my drive when u pick me up wi ben
