Not if its not properly. Just remove two fins and  a skim of the rest. Involves moving rad back a touch

cheers guys more pics soon, today was spent stripping the bits of the ABF car that i need, Black car is now ready for evverything to go back in, just waiting for CAT, downpipe and exhaust to arrive, looking at 2 weeks more build time to see this one back on the road

Sold whats left of the green car today for £500!! so that will be gone once iv removed the bits i need, not bad seen as the head gasket completely went on thursday

I just spent the day moving my rad back for the intercooler thanks to your build thread

Looking forward to more pics How did you get on with the throttle pedal? Ben was asking me how I got mine out the other night, told him brute strength and a hacksaw

currently taking the bits off the 16valve GTI i bought which i need for F17BAD.. this should be done in a few days

also cleaned up the inlet manifold and throttle body

just need another insert for one of the injectors as i stripped one by accident haha, that should be here tomo..

also done the alterrnator Black like the throttle body




Its gettign their, engine will be a clean OEM look once complete

next day of work is tuesday evening, removal of gearbox, Hydro set up and Gear linkage from the Valver.. then a quick clean up of these parts and its time to fully rebuild F17BAD, lots of pics to come
