Today i got the dash out and the looms out ready to be worked on




and started to clean the new engine, currently deciding if to powdercoat the inlet manifold and the chargepipe black, leave standard or go polised




next is to get the wiring looms sorted, iv had no sleep, so thats all for today..

i would go part polished mate.. powdered black makes the bay look a week bit dull in my eyes  :smiley:

Don't powdercoat, you need to enable as much heat transfer as possible and you also want to not polish the boost pipes. The last tithead I was at the 'ring with who had polished boost pipes couldn't figure out why they kept blowing off..... I suggested he scour over the ends of them with some sandpaper - suddenly the problem was gone...

lol, seen this with polished boost pipes as well. Look good polished but as DH says leave the contact surfaces rough.
